WHAT IS GOOD LOGO TASK

For Next Tuesday :  Bring 5 examples of branding/logos that are similar to my topic. Deconstruct them and analyse why they have used the typefaces, colours, image, etc. - PRINT OUT!

Bring 5 examples of print that I like and what i want to explore.

LOGOS

The Glow Company

I think the glow company have chosen a relevant colours for the products. The luminous green represents the glowing aspect of the items they produce. The have used quite a bubbley typeface which is quite similar to some neon signage as the letters seem to join up. They have used a crescent in the logo which I believe represents the moons glow. The logo is successful in representing the products, its not very smart but I guess glow in the dark stuff is not very serious.

Glow

Glow have gone with a neon sign typeface, the colours they have used represent some of the colours available with glow i the dark products. This quite a simple logo I think it grabs the attention of the viewer but I don;t think it is particularly nice to look at.

Cyberdog

Cyberdog are a rave clothing company that specialises in glow in the dark and UV products. There logo is much better than the others, it has used a cool aqua glow colour which is much more subtle and less garish. It is quite a futuristic typeface which is almost pixilated. I think this enhances the futuristic feel of glow in the dark, as this is something that has not been pushed to its limits.

Neon Creations

Neon Creations is another logo that has a kind of neon tube light typeface, It has used 3 colours which are all quite luminous, however I think they are a bit dull and does not give the logo maximum impact. This company creates neon signs so I do think the logo is quite relevant  the log actually looks like an abstract kind of sign with the ring round it.

Glow Stick City

Glow stick city obviously sells glow sticks and other products. This is another quite obvious logo choice, they have used a glow effect round the text and image, which successfully helps to show what the company is about, they have used a nice blue which works well with the black and white. The typeface is Block and All in capitals creating quite a high impact on the viewer.
