- Good Breadth of Research, identified different methods of delivery.
- Strong idea and concept menu
- Thought about how it will permeate through the restaurant.
- Light hearted tone of voice works well and is effective across products so far
- Typografeast works really well - informative about type and the content (food)
- Puns are a good starting point - would like to see the final result
Ares for Improvement
- Strong focus on type...could be too much - think of a consistant theme for all your proposals
- Aiming it at designers might not be the best idea, small target audience who will have a strong appreciation of design could put consumers off if they don't like the design/approach.
- Black and white colour scheme is too serious.
- If in colour consider relevant colour scheme so the tone of voice doesn't come across wrong.
Considerations
- Where else would the type be?
- What about the exterior of the restaurant?
- Consider deliverables. What are the final products going to be?
- Branding + Identity, think about the designs, colour, fonts
- Incorporate concept into logo - something clever and witty.
- Would like to the see the products photographed well like the research examples.
I agree with most of the comments made. I don't think I wil be using a black and white colour scheme as I want to create a warmer image for the restaurant. Also the restaurant is not going to be aimed at just designers. It is heavily design based as I am wanting to create the studio environment. The restaurant will be a design/type studio converted into a restaurant essentially. I am wanting to create the design experience for the diner. Its supposed to be fun but also informative. I will work on the branding for the restaurant from this point on as I think I have the restaurant concept down.
